Right now, we’ve got a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Database Administrator Team Leader to join our team in Angel, London.
The DBA Team Leader at Sage Pay is technical hands on and has responsibility for all Sage Pay Databases, including the Payment Gateway data, the billing and CRM systems, and all other systems that support those applications. The role is also managerial, leading a team primarily to operationally support Sage Pay databases, including monitoring, identifying and rectifying problems and issues.
You will be responsible for ensuring databases are highly available, secure and recoverable and that such systems are continually monitored. Documenting database architecture, processes and procedures, conducting investigations into root cause analysis post incidents and working alongside the Development teams, providing consultancy and guidance on best practice T-SQL coding standards.
We require somebody with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server environments (2005/2008/2014), relational databases and design methodologies, ideally with experience of Service Broker. You will need to have experience managing a team to create a highly motivated, high performing team that set industry best practice.
Experience working in 24/7, highly available, environments would be highly advantageous as well as experience or knowledge in NoSQL databases or continuous deployment solutions.
